In 1969 Bethel, NY became home to the most iconic music event ever held in the US: Woodstock.

Decades later, after numerous albums and documentaries, Woodstock still holds a special place for so many. Musical greats like Jimi and Janis performed there on stage. After, the stage was dismantled and turned into a paddleball court where it was painted white before being discovered and saved.

The GW Woodstock Stage One Fountain Pen has a Peace symbol with wood from that actual stage hand-inlaid into the cap. You can even see some of the white paint still in the wood. The resin for the pen was cast in-house, incorporating the colors of the original flyers used to promote the event.

Included with the pen is a glass bottle filled with some of the sawdust used for the inlay in the cap. The bottle is serialized with a matching serialized Certificate of Authenticity.

The nib, a German JoWo #6, is a Medium tip with a Peace symbol engraved into it. Although other tip sizes are available, only the Medium tip has this engraving. EF, F, and B tips have the GW logo engraved. The cartridge/converter fill system comes with a Schmidt K5 converter.

Included with the pen is a Certificate of Authenticity as well as the velvet-lined black display box with glass cover, making this an equally good display piece as daily writer.

This is the last pen to be made in the Stage One design series.
