GW Old Ironsides Limited Edition Fountain Pen

Old Ironsides. The oldest commissioned warship in the world, now brought to you in an heirloom quality pen. Each piece is individually numbered for collectors who value craft, provenance, and story.

This 10-piece limited edition fountain pen is made from stabilized USS Constitution Longleaf Pine, lined with ebonite, and accented with copper including copper rescued directly from the ship.

The satin finished hand-cast resin has movement, further brought to life with filings from the salvaged copper. The nib, a Medium tip JoWo 6, has been electro-plated with real copper and coated with a clear nano-ceramic lacquer to seal and protect the plating. It comes with a Schmidt K5 converter, but is also able to accept standard international cartridges.

The pen includes a tung oil finished pen rest made from the same recovered wood as the pen body, a walnut box, and a booklet.
