Private group tours are now available for your organization at our retail/manufacturing site in historic Woodstown, NJ. Owner and artisan penmaker John Greco will discuss:
- The educational background he brings to penmaking
- The art concepts used to design pens
- The steps in physically making a pen
- The difference between ballpoints, rollerballs, and fountain pens
- How fountain pens work
In addition, each attendee will get a patch and be given the opportunity to try a fountain pen. Time will also be spent talking about some of the unique historic materials available in the store, such as wood from the original construction of Independence Hall, wood from the White House, and many others!
To ensure the group gets our full, undivided attention this is a Private Event. The store will be closed for the duration, which should take approximately 60-90 minutes depending on the size of your group. Please plan on arriving 10 minutes early to fill out the associated release forms.
The cost per child is $7 with a $50 minimum (for groups with 7 or fewer children). Adult chaperones are free but are required to stay with their child(ren) for the duration of the event. As this is geared towards Scouts, school groups, and youth groups, the ideal age for this event is 8+ years old, however the content can be presented in a more simplified manner for younger children.
